The Friends of Garway Church are offering guided tours explaining the history of the church and viewing the many original features which are to be seen both inside and outside. The churchyard is particularly beautiful being managed to encourage wild flowers and wildlife.
In addition to the church, it may be possible to include a visit to the dovecote situated on private property adjacent to the church. The dovecote was built by the Knights Hospitallers and finished in 1326 is considered one of the best preserved in the country.
To make your visit even more enjoyable, The Friends may be able to offer refreshments in the cafe of the Community Hall. We would be delighted to take bookings from groups and societies or perhaps a small group of friends or even individuals.
